Practical research training in Hand Therapy and Surgery, a 5-day Master Class

This course is a specialized training in practical research methods for practitioners in the field of hand therapy, hand rehabilitation and hand surgery. In this week, we will cover both theory of medical research and basic practical skills for hand therapy and surgery research.
You will be provided with an orientation to medical research from a quantitative and epidemiological viewpoint and a general introduction to the basics of statistics used in biomedical and public health applications.
The different modules will review practical aspects of hand therapy and surgery research: clinimetrics, diagnostic tests, advanced literature search, peer review, systematic review, scientific medical writing and measurements.
Target group
Professional healthcare workers with a relevant degree from a school of physiotherapy, occupational therapy or medicine, working in the field of hand therapy or surgery who want to advance their skills in research methods and techniques both theoretical and practical. The number of participants for the course will be limited to 20.
